Cerebral palsy and similar special needs affect thousands of children in the United States each year. These disorders make riding normal bicycles and tricycles difficult or impossible. Our mission is to create opportunities for independence by providing therapeutic tricycles to these children.

Although cerebral palsy has no cure, there are many treatments available to help a child function at the highest level possible. Since all children with cerebral palsy have movement problems, an important component of a child's treatment is a therapeutic exercise program. We believe TheraTrike tricycles should be an integral part of these programs.

Children who regularly exercise with our tricycles develop key muscle groups resulting in better walking gait. Furthermore, our tricycles enrich the lives of children and improve their self-esteem by enabling them to participate with other children and experience activities that they would not otherwise be able to do.
